Monitor Craigslist via Email

At some point, you’ve probably been trolling Craigslist for something with no result – only if you could monitor when your desired item was actually listed. Well, you can.

Craigslist doesn’t make it super easy or very obvious, but it is quite simple.

At the bottom of every search page is a small “RSS” button. For Google Reader and other RSS junkies, simply click this to subscribe. But for most people who might not know what RSS actually is, have no fear: you can subscribe via email with the same button simply by using FeedMyInbox.com or other “RSS-to-Email” service. They are free and literally as easy as copy & paste. Check out the video above for a quick how-to.

Micro USB Travel Mouse Showdown

Trackpads slow me down. And for years I have been trying to find a durable, portable mouse I can use with my laptop. Problem is, none of them hold up to the wear and tear of being thrown in and out of my bag!

I have tested numerous travel mice: GEVerbatimTargus and Belkin. Bought them from Target, OfficeMax, OfficeDepot. They all follow the same basic design: USB, 2 button, wheel, small “size” and retractable cable. And they also share something else in common: they don’t last for more than a few months. Now this wouldn’t be a problem if they were only a few bucks each, but they typically cost more like $10.

While I have given up on getting a travel mouse that will last, I am now looking for the cheapest micro mouse. I have purchased five different kinds on eBay for less than $5 each and will be testing them over the course of the year.
